Exchange Online - Configure Apple Mail on iOS

Use this tutorial to configure an Exchange Online mailbox in Apple Mail on iOS.

Please note: OIT cannot support the Apple Mail application past this initial configuration because the vendor does not consistently adhere to Microsoft's Exchange standards.

When adding a colorado.edu exchange account on your iOS device, you see the following warning:
"Adding an Exchange account will allow the Exchange administrator to remotely manage your device. The administrator may collect personal data, add/remove accounts and restrictions, list, install, and manage apps, and remotely erase data on your device."

The Apple Mail for iOS app uses the Microsoft Active Sync Protocol for communications, which includes the capability to lock or wipe a device by Exchange administrators. If you do not accept these settings, use the Microsoft Outlook App for iOS instead. Learn more about our support and recommendations on the Exchange Online page.
