Buff Portal Advising - Connect Salesforce to Outlook in Office 365

Salesforce allows users to add email correspondence directly from Office365 Outlook Online to a contact record in Buff Portal Advising. Use this tutorial for help connecting Salesforce to Outlook.

Please note: OIT recommends using Office 365 in Google Chrome and the steps display that view.

Step

Navigate to the more actions menu (three dots) at the top of an email message, then select Customize Actions.

Step

Check the box in front of Salesforce (blue cloud) and click Save
You should then see the blue cloud at the top of email messages or when clicking the waffle icon (Apps).

Step

When an email is selected, a small blue cloud will appear. Click on the cloud.

A Salesforce window will open on the right side of Outlook. Leave the drop-down selection Production and click Log in to Salesforce.

A small window will pop up confirming that a new window will be displayed, click Allow.

Step

A Salesforce window will appear. Do not enter a user name or password. Instead, click Use Custom Domain in the bottom right corner.

Step

Enter the Custom Domain name cu.my.salesforce.com then select Continue.

Step

Select Confirm to connect the Salesforce account with the Microsoft email account.
