SAS is a widely-used statistical software product used for analyzing and modeling data. SAS 9.4 is available for Windows and for Linux (SAS is not available for macOS).
In addition to the complete SAS Base product, the CU license includes all of SAS Foundation and dozens of other SAS products. (A smaller, free product version, SAS University Edition, is available online, but has several limitations.)
SAS is available to purchase as an annual subscription at the following schedule. All licenses expire June 30 of each year.
- July 1 – June 30: $80
- Updated license may not be immediately available. You will receive the update once OIT has received the latest license.
- January 1 – June 30: $58
- April 1 - June 30: $32
Who can get it
SAS licenses are available to faculty, staff and students at CU Boulder, CU Denver/Health Sciences, and CU Colorado Springs. A user licensed for a university computer may use SAS on a home computer. The university SAS license is to be used only for academic teaching and academic research purposes.
