Cost

As of summer 2014, Autodesk products are being provided to the university for free for instructional use.

Professional usage, for example Facilities Management, is not covered by the free educational usage policy. Licenses of an AutoDesk application must be purchased if being used for professional applications.

Who can get it

The free licensing of Autodesk software products is offered to faculty and students on personal computers for academic purposes only, and to academic departments on all university-owned computers.

Faculty and students can download AutoCAD, Revit, and other Autodesk products to their own computers from the Autodesk website. For labs, computer clusters and other multi-computer deployments in academic departments, choose "Software for Institutions" from the Autodesk site.
