Hoosier by birth, Coloradan at heart, Chelsy joined CU Boulder as a UX Content Designer for OIT’s UXRD team in May of 2023. Chelsy holds two master’s degrees in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Communications, respectively. Prior to shifting her career focus to UX, she worked all over the United States and the world as a professional ESL teacher for a decade. After completing a UX Design bootcamp, Chelsy launched her UX career as a researcher and designer at startups in the logistics, housing, and mental health industries. Chelsy strives to bring accessible and inclusive user-centered practices into all her work.
In her free time, Chelsy enjoys playing the drums, video gaming, hiking with her golden retriever, and traveling the world with her wife.
