Service Maintenance Completed: UIS Data Center Move - Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals Completed

Description

Update 2:20p.m., October 10, 2023: All services that are reliant upon the UIS data center have returned and the UIS data center move is complete.

Update 12:00 p.m., October 10, 2023: Services that are reliant upon the UIS data center have returned but several, including BuffPortal, remain offline. This Service Alert will remain open until Buff Portal is available.

Update 7:00 a.m., October 10, 2023: UIS is completing the required updates to the software issue discovered during the data center move. They are in the final stages of this effort and will be bringing the affected services back online by no later than noon today, Tuesday, October 10. Update 8:00 a.m., October 9, 2023: Due to a software issue, the data center move is expected to take an additional 24 hours. All affected resources are expected to be available by 8 a.m. on October 10. Visit the UIS data center move update page for more information.

UIS will move their data center to a new location starting 12 p.m. Friday, October 6 until 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, HCM among other resources will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

Impact

During the maintenance window from 12 p.m. Friday, October 6 until 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9, Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, HCM and other UIS-hosted resources will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). There will also be a delay in campus IdentiKey provisioning.

If you encounter errors in HCM applications following the maintenance, clearing your browser cache often resolves the issues.
