The Computing Center firewall migration on Monday, November 20 could cause network and service outages for many of the campus’s online services. Over the last few months, OIT has taken extensive steps to minimize overall impact, but service disruptions are expected during the maintenance window to many online services that are dependent on the Computing Center firewall. This maintenance is a necessary step in upgrading end of life hardware, as well as updating outdated connections between applications.

During the maintenance window, starting at 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, November 20, it’s possible that various CU online services and applications may become unavailable due to a firewall policy dependency issues that were not accurately documented.
