Description

Service Maintenance Completed at 9:35 a.m.: Maintenance is complete and IT Services are now available.

UPDATE March 19 at 6:03 p.m.Electrical contractors have identified that additional time is needed for repairs. The outage has been extended to 10:00 a.m. However, we anticipate that major services will be available starting at 9:00 a.m. We appreciate your patience as we work through this complex initiative. Please understand an outage of this size impacts many moving parts, including over 140 services.

Due to an explosion that occured at the computing center this past fall, Facilities Management needs to turn off power to the data center to thoroughly inspect for damage, resulting in many IT Services being unavailable. The maintenance will begin on Friday, March 20 at 10:00 p.m. and will conclude by 9:00 a.m., March 21. See Impact and Affected Services below for additional information regarding this outage.

Impact

During the maintenance, many IT Services will be unavailable, including faculty/staff Exchange email & calendar accounts, CU Boulder hosted websites and more. MyCUInfo will remain available until midnight to ensure students can add/drop classes before the deadline. The CU Boulder Network (wired and wireless), as well as Microsoft Office 365, Google Apps and Desire2Learn (D2L) will remain available.

Affected Services
