Spirion/Identity Finder Removal

Submitted by stauffeg on

The University of Colorado’s license for Spirion/Identity Finder, software that searches for private information on personal computers (e.g. social security numbers or credit card numbers), has expired and will not be renewed. This means that the software must be removed from all campus computers following these instructions. Please note that Spirion was formerly named Identity Finder, so the software may appear under either name on your computer depending on the original time of download.

If your computer is managed by Dedicated Desktop Support, the software is being removed automatically. If you have any questions please contact your DDS Professional.

Unfortunately, the low utilization of the software made it difficult to justify the cost to the university and therefore the decision was made to not renew the license. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the IT Service Center at help@colorado.edu or call 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from a campus phone). Thank you for your cooperation.
