Submitted by stauffeg on

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. The Office of Information Technology will continue to provide you with a basic level of support to ensure you can continue to use your IdentiKey and CU Boulder email account, and have access to retiree-granted CU services, such as MyCUInfo and Outlook Online.

Upon retirement, you will lose access to OIT services that are licensed only for active employees, such as Zoom Pro, VPN, and UCB Files.

OIT Support for Retirees

IT Service Center

303-735-4357, oithelp@colorado.edu

The IT Service Center provides basic support for retirees over the phone or through email. Support is limited to:

  • IdentiKey account access
  • Access troubleshooting for retiree-granted CU online services and apps
  • CU Boulder email web access and supported email program configuration

Retirees will be referred to Buff Techs for OIT-supported software troubleshooting or to a third-party vendor for technical problems beyond the scope of OIT’s support.

Buff Techs

By appointment only, in-person or remote

Buff Techs desktop support provides basic support for retirees. Support is limited to:

  • Troubleshooting OIT-supported software on personal computers and devices

If the support issue exceeds Buff Tech’s best effort at troubleshooting or the appointment is inhibiting active faculty, staff, or students from receiving support in a timely manner, Buff Techs will refer the retiree to a third-party vendor.

OIT Support for Emeriti Faculty & Working Retirees

Emeriti faculty and working retirees receive OIT’s full level of support from the IT Service Center and Buff Techs. This includes Dedicated Desktop Support (DDS) on university-owned computers and devices in DDS-managed departments.
