Congratulations OIT Graduates!

The class of 2020 has had a unique graduation experience and we want to recognize our employees by sharing more about them and their experience while at CU. Hats off to those graduating this week! While circumstances may not be what everyone was hoping for, you deserve to be recognized! 

Jacob Andrew Clark, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science

Congratulations Jacob Andrew Clark for graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Jacob’s favorite memories during his time with OIT were the DLS managers treating the operators to donuts every Friday morning more or less. As a student, Jacob has learned that it's important to take pride in your community and that the success of those around you is always in your best interest. Jacob will miss using the Student Recreation Center.

Josh Baker, Bachelor of Science in Information Science

Josh's favorite memories from OIT are the good times he had with everyone while working over the summer. Josh will miss the plentiful opportunities to meet new people and have new experiences on campus.

Alba Lidia Gonzalez-Rodriguez, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

OITgrads2020_JessicaGonzalez_300_1Alba Lidia Gonzalez-Rodriguez is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphases in Accounting and Operations Management! As a student, Alba learned you do not need to know everything, but you do need to know when to ask for help and who to ask. Alba will miss that beautiful scenery at CU Boulder.

Priyanka Khanal, Master of Science in Business Analytics-Marketing and AdvertisingCongratulations to Priyanka Khanal for graduating with a Master of Science in Business Analytics-Marketing and Advertising. One of her favorite memories while working for OIT was getting to meet and chat with instructors from all different departments. Priyanka will miss the mountains and view that Boulder offers!
Jacob Lacy, Bachelor of Science in Environmental EngineeringJacob Lacy is graduating this May with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. Jacob attributes many of his best memories and funny stories while working for OIT to Brendan Ostrem. Throughout his time as a student, Jacob has learned way too much chemistry, and will miss all of his great friends and the time he spent with them.
Joana Lara Nuñez, Bachelors of Arts in English and Anthropology

OITgrads2020_JoanaNunez_300Congratulations Joana Lara Nuñez for graduating with Bachelor of Arts in English and Anthropology. One of the best memories Joana has while working for OIT was setting up a computer to show a live recording of polar bears at the zoo. During her time as a student, Joana has learned how to take care of herself. Upon graduation, she will miss taking classes from wonderful professors.

Skyler Middler, Bachelor of Science in Information Science

While working for OIT, she enjoyed Nathan’s BBQ at staff parties and making incredible friends. As a student, Skyler learned that talking to your instructors makes for much more enjoyable classroom experiences. Skyler will miss the IDLab, being in classes with friends and attending CU football games. 

Jessica Nennig, Bachelor of Science in Management 

OITgrads2020_JessicaNennig_300_1Congratulations Jessica Nennig for graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Management with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship! One of Jessica’s favorite memories at OIT was when Brian would bring ice cream to the office. During her time as a student, Jessica has learned how to balance a personal and professional lifestyle. Jessica will miss being around the friends she’s made at CU.

Melecio Perea Jr, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

OITgrads2020_MelecioPereaJr_300Melecio Perea Jr is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science! Some of Melecio’s favorite memories during his time with OIT were working the late night shifts since they always provided opportunities to get to know people well. As a student, Melecio learned to take time to focus on maintaining or gaining friendships. When it came to making friends, Melecio learned not to worry about the fear of being rejected, and that people are usually nicer than you’d think. Melecio will miss walking around campus and seeing the seasonal changes. He will also miss seeing his friends at the office.

Steve Taylor, Executive Master of Business Administration

OITgrads2020_SteveTaylor_300_1Steve Taylor is graduating with an Executive Master of Business Administration this May! When he first started working for OIT, Steve found his first couple of weeks in the RL-1 building a little eerie but eventually came around to its charm. Steve has been pleased to refine the ideas he’s always held, and been humbled by the improvement of ideas he’s learned regarding leadership, business, and stakeholder value. Stephen will miss the camaraderie of his class and learning from the amazing people in his cohort.

Kiran Yeshwanth U, Master of Science in Telecommunications

OITgrads2020_KiranYeshwanth_300_1Kiran Yeshwanth U is graduating with a Master of Science in Telecommunications! Kiran cherishes the Formula-1 and Soccer (football, as he’d prefer to call it) conversations with his OIT colleagues. One of the best memories he has was receiving news that he had a chance to work for OIT again in the fall. As a master's student, Kiran learned about time management and being responsible. Kiran will miss late night labs and that early morning rush to the recording studio.

Justin Yun, Bachelor of Science in Computer ScienceCongratulations to Justin Yun on graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science this spring. Something funny that Justin will remember about his time working for OIT are Brendan’s Face of Rave stickers. Justin will miss the friends he’s made while at CU.
