Originally from India, Dhaivat (he/him) earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from NMIMS, India in 2018 and a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from DePaul University in 2021.
Having worked in the UX design and engineering industry for over two years, Dhaivat enjoys crafting engaging, fun and efficient digital user experiences. In his career, Dhaivat has worked with startups, consultancies, and non-profits to design digital products and hone his visual design and interaction design skills. Using informed research and a user-centered approach, he is passionate about delivering high-quality experiences for people.
As a UX Designer with OIT's UXRD Team, Dhaivat works to build an accessible and integrated student portal, Buff Portal. In this role, he carefully considers student and stakeholder needs to design helpful, intuitive and pleasant digital experiences.
Dhaivat enjoys nature photography, podcasts, and hiking in his free time.
Dhaivat supports undocumented students, staff, and their families.
