Service Issue Updated at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, July 7: OIT continues to test a number of solutions to resolve this issue. In the meantime, we have confirmed that Ubuntu 22.04 will function correctly to connect to the VPN using the campus-recommended Linux VPN client.

Service Issue Updated 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15: OIT continues to investigate this issue and is currently testing a number of potential solutions for viability.

Service Issue Updated 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5: OIT is continuing to work on this issue to find a workaround and/or resolution. We will post another update by Tuesday, June 9. 

Service Issue Reported at 2:43 p.m. on June 3, 2026: OIT is aware that users of the campus-recommended Linux VPN client, running Ubuntu 24.04 and newer versions, are currently unable to log in to the VPN and see a "stale request" error, following the Microsoft MFA expansion

OIT’s Identity & Access Management team is investigating this issue along with the Network Engineering & Operations team, and we will update this alert as more information becomes available.
