Winter Break hours and support

OIT will be closed along with CU Boulder academic and administrative offices from Wednesday, December 24 through Sunday, January 2, 2026. During Winter Break, there will be changes to OIT’s support resources, including staffing and business hours:  

IT Service Center

The IT Service Center (ITSC) will be closed Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, January 2. It will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026.

During this closure, emails and calls to the ITSC will not be answered, and support cases will not be worked on by OIT staff until after January 2. If you are enrolled in Continuing Education’s winter session that runs December 15 - January 5, please be sure to check access to your courses in Canvas before campus closes on December 24.

Canvas

Canvas support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for both students and educators. Immediate assistance is offered through live chat or phone, which can be accessed from the Help menu in Canvas. Support is also available by email at support@instructure.com.

Buff Techs 

The Buff Techs virtual appointments as well as its main location in the CASE building will be closed Wednesday December 24 through Friday January 2, 2026. Schedule an appointment with Buff Techs.

The Buff Techs Norlin location is closed as of December 12. This location will reopen for the spring 2026 semester on Monday, January 5.

Dedicated Desktop Support

OIT’s Dedicated Desktop Support service will be closed Tuesday, December 24 through Friday January 2, 2026.

Additional Buff Techs and DDS Closure

Dedicated Desktop Support and Buff Techs will be closed from 2 to 5 p.m. on Monday, December 15 for a Holiday Employee Appreciation Event. Contact the IT Service Center for assistance during this time. 

Support Resources

Visit the OIT Support page for self-service resources during winter break. The IT Service Center, Buff Techs in the CASE building, DDS, and the rest of OIT will reopen on Monday January 5, 2026.
