How do I get a Buff OneCard so my photo appears in Canvas?
Why isn’t my or my student's Buff OneCard photo appearing in Canvas?

There are several possible reasons why your Buff OneCard photo would not appear as your Canvas profile picture:

  • You are not officially enrolled as a student in any current- or future-term courses. Once you sign up for a class for this term or a future term, your Buff OneCard photo will be uploaded.
  • You are a student with a full privacy flag.
  • You are listed as a TA or instructor for any current- or future-term course. Even if you are also a student, being a TA or instructor exempts you from having your Buff OneCard photo uploaded to Canvas.
  • You don’t have a Buff OneCard.

If one of these cases applies to you, you can upload your own profile picture by following this Canvas guide: How do I add a profile picture in my user account as a student?
