Increase Efficiency with DocuSign

Streamline your processes with DocuSign. Docusign is an easy-to-use, full-featured, web-based application for signing/sending documents, creating forms, and managing document workflow. It is a common good service available to all CU Boulder students, faculty and staff, therefore there is no direct cost to individuals or departments.

Some of the benefits of DocuSign include:

  • Enhanced efficiency and cost savings in the reduction of printing, scanning and faxing; reduced turnaround times and automated workflow processes.
  • Reducing the risk of non-compliance through error proofing functionality, version control and information security.
  • The ability to route documents to multiple recipients, build customer forms and sign documents from mobile devices.
  • Supporting sustainability efforts by reducing the amounts of paper used on campus.

For Chip Persons, Associate Professor, Theatre & Dance Department, DocuSign has improved the efficiency of his work.

“I wasn’t surprised that technology like DocuSign existed, but I was surprised by how well it addressed my issue. Before OIT introduced me to DocuSign, I’d been making do with a process that was no longer paper-based, but was still labor-intensive. Each spring when students applied to our specialized Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Performance I’d been trading forms and files via university email, and then via a jerry-rigged and inefficient system I’d built using GoogleForms. The analysts at OIT and I designed a workflow that replaced seven different technologies as well as hours of my own brainpower with DocuSign. DocuSign solved a unique administrative need in my program and supported the “real-world" instructional goals for our students by offering a pre-assessment exercise. It became the first step in their training in the program.”
