Comparing Canvas Scheduler to Microsoft Bookings

Submitted by stauffeg on

CU Boulder instructors have two robust online scheduling tools at their disposal each having some distinct features that make them better for certain scheduling situations. Canvas Scheduler is available in the Calendar area of Canvas to make it easy for students in your classes to sign up for time slots by class. Microsoft Bookings is a more flexible scheduling tool that allows students, faculty, staff and others to schedule a meeting with you and is an OIT-supported alternative to scheduling tools like Calendly or Cvent.

OIT offers a webpage that compares the features and functionality of Canvas Scheduler and Microsoft Bookings so you can choose the best scheduling tool for your specific situation. The page includes side-by-side comparisons for scheduling features and functionality, audience and use cases, calendar types, accessibility and more. Both scheduling tools are available at no cost and Microsoft Bookings is also available for use by students and staff.
