Beginning-of-Term D2L Workshops

Submitted by stauffeg on

With the fall term’s monstrous shadow already lumbering toward us at a staggering pace, the time has come to start taking measures to prepare for its imminent arrival. That’s right: it’s already time to start setting up your D2L courses for the fall.

But never fear! CU Boulder’s Learning Technology Consultants are here to make your course preparations as painless as possible with a handful of D2L trainings for newcomers and veteran users alike. In order to best accommodate the full range of instructor needs and tech-savviness, we will be offering two different training seminars this semester along with our usual advanced drop-in hours for users with more specific questions or concerns about their courses.

The first training seminar, titled “The Basics,” will cover a range of entry-level topics including:

  • Uploading and releasing content to your students
  • Gradebook setup and best practices
  • Dropbox folder and submission setup
  • Using the communications feature to email students

The second seminar offered this fall will focus on the ins-and-outs of D2L’s Quiz Tool, including:

  • General quiz setup
  • Quiz restrictions
  • Question types and multimedia embedding
  • Quiz grading and feedback

We will also be offering advanced drop-in hours during the second half of every session to answer specific questions you may have about your courses and provide you with general troubleshooting.

Trainings will be held in TLC 215 at the following dates and times:
