Microsoft Office 2016 for Windows Available

Submitted by stauffeg on

Microsoft Office 2016 for Windows was released to the general public on September 22, 2015. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has been testing the new productivity suite while it was in early-release status in order to confirm compatibility with key campus services. OIT has currently listed Office 2016 for Windows as software that is in the recommended phase on its Software Life Cycle page. Although the software has been listed as “recommended,” it is always a good practice to make sure that new software is compatible with the services you most frequently use.

Office 2016 for Windows is available free of charge to all CU Boulder faculty, staff, and students. As a result of the release of Office 2016 for Windows, Office 2013 for Windows has been classified by OIT as software that should be upgraded soon on the Software Life Cycle page. Office 2016 for Mac was released in August and is also “recommended” and free to CU Boulder affiliates.
