Outlook - Configure Apple Mail on iOS

Use this tutorial to configure a Microsoft Outlook mailbox in Apple Mail on iOS.

Please note: OIT cannot support the Apple Mail application past this initial configuration, because the vendor does not consistently adhere to Microsoft's messaging standards.

When adding a colorado.edu account on your iOS device, you will see the following warning:
"Adding an Exchange account will allow the Exchange administrator to remotely manage your device. The administrator may collect personal data, add/remove accounts and restrictions, list, install, and manage apps, and remotely erase data on your device."

The Apple Mail for iOS app uses the Microsoft Active Sync Protocol for communications, which includes the capability to lock or wipe a device by Microsoft administrators. If you do not accept these settings, set up the Outlook app for iOS instead.
