Service Issue Updated at 1:30 PM on 1/23/26: OIT is continuing to work with Microsoft and waiting for a permanent fix. We have, however, developed a temporary work around, restoring the ability for Windows Secure Computing customers to install applications from Software Center.
Service Issue Reported at 3:30 PM on 1/15/2026: OIT has become aware of an issue that is affecting a small group of Secure Computing Windows devices when trying to install software from the Software Center. When selecting an application to install, some people may experience the installer becoming stuck while "Waiting to apply changes." We have engaged Microsoft and are working on resolving the issue.
We understand this may be frustrating and appreciate your patience while we work on a solution. If you find that the application you are trying to install is failing, please contact your IT Support or the OIT Help Desk.
