CUClickers - Student Resources

Using iClicker

To receive credit for your clicker activity, make sure you've set up your iClicker student account. If you accidentally create a duplicate account, follow the instructions in our multiple clicker accounts tutorial.

If you're taking a class that meets in person, you may be required to use an iClicker remote. To get one, you may:

  • Purchase a new remote from the CU Book Store.
  • Check out a remote from the Norlin Commons Service Desk (a limited number of iClicker remotes are available for checkout on a semester basis).
  • Share a remote with another student, as long as you don't attend the same section of any class that uses clickers.

Once you have a remote, add the iClicker remote ID to your student app so you can receive credit for your iClicker activity.

If you're in a remote learning environment, you can respond to clicker questions using the iClicker student app or a web browser. Learn more about using the iClicker student app in class.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • At the start of the semester, make sure you log out of your iClicker student account on all your devices. To log back in, select University of Colorado Boulder from the iClicker student login page, then log in to CU Boulder's Federated Identity Service.
  • Use UCB Wireless or eduroam, rather than UCB Guest, when using the iClicker app.
  • Disconnect and reconnect to the Wi-Fi upon arrival to the room. You can do this quickly by turning airplane mode on, waiting 5 seconds, and then turning it off again.
  • Put all devices except the one you are using for clickers (computers, tablets, phones, watches) into airplane mode for class.
  • If your instructor tells you there is a problem with your clicker grade, please reach out to the IT Service Center as soon as you can.

iClicker Study Tools

The iClicker student app enables you to review questions, create flashcards, see your unedited clicker score, and quiz yourself on the material. Please review iClicker's student study tools tutorial for more information.
