Exchange Distribution Lists

Exchange provides distribution list capability for Exchange customers. It does this through the use of Active Directory groups and access is managed using Grouper.

Cost

Exchange distributions lists are provided as common-good services to the campus, which means there is no direct cost to list owners or members.

Who can get it

Faculty, staff and student employees with Exchange accounts.

How to get it

To request a new distribution list:

You'll need to provide the following information with your request:

  • The new list owner's IdentiKey username or CU Boulder email address.
  • Your department or organization's name (selected from a drop-down menu).
  • A short, descriptive list/group name. The full name will use this format: [DeptPrefix]-DL-[ListName]. For example: dept-dl-allstaff@colorado.edu.
  • If applicable, the name of the existing Grouper group that will manage the list/group.

An OIT specialist will create the account and get in touch with you once it's created.
