Service Restored at 3:30 PM on 7/8/2025: OIT became aware of an issue impacting Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) around 3:00 PM today 7/8/2025. Users were being prompted to set up the Authenticator app to access Teams and Email. In addition, some users reported being asked to share location data, and others were not getting notifications from the Authenticator App. As of 3:30 PM on 7/8/2025 OIT believes we have resolved the issue and MFA should return to normal for all users.
If you continue to experience unexpected behavior from MFA, or if you see a banner prompting you to sign in again, we recommend reloading the page (for web based applications) or to quit and reopen the application (for desktop applications).
