Zoom - Run a Report of Previous Zoom Recordings

If you save Zoom recordings in the cloud, use this tutorial to view a list of your cloud recordings in a consolidated format. Then, easily download and save to avoid having recordings deleted (CU Boulder's Zoom retention policy keeps recordings for 365 days from the date of recording).

The results will provide a list of all recordings for the specified timeframe. Check the Auto Delete in column to see how long until each recording will be deleted (recordings are deleted 365 days after the start time).

Step

To download and archive recordings, select the More button next to the recording you want to save, and select Download.

Step

 Downloaded recording files may include:

  • .VTT extension (audio transcript)
  • .M4A extension (audio only file)
  • or an .MP4 extension (video and audio recording)

Once the files have downloaded locally to your computer, you may archive them in your storage location of choice. File storage options supported by OIT include UCB Files, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. Please refer to the FERPA policy on recordings on the Zoom FAQ page.
