Description

The CU Boulder VoIP phone service will undergo a firmware upgrade on Friday, September 15 between the hours of 8 pm and 11 pm. VoIP phone services will be unavailable for approximately five minutes on Cisco 8851 phones (most office phones) while they reboot after the upgrade. Both incoming and outgoing calls will be affected. This upgrade is necessary to resolve a network loop issue.

Impact

VoIP phone services will be unavailable for approximately five minutes all Cisco 8851 phones while they reboot after the upgrade. Both incoming and outgoing calls will be affected. After the upgrade is complete, Cisco 8851 phones will have some new feature enhancements.
