Canvas - Update WeVideo Grades in Canvas Gradebook

This tutorial shows instructors how to push student's WeVideo interactive video grades to the Grades Tool in their Canvas Course. To learn more, visit the Integrating WeVideo Within Canvas tutorial.

Step 1

Open your Canvas course in a Chrome browser. Within Assignments, click on the WeVideo Assignment you created.

Step 2

Select Monitor to open the WeVideo Monitor.

On the monitor page, you may review students' progress and grade any short answer questions. You can also reset their attempt.

Step 4

While grades sync automatically, you may wish to sync the grades from the WeVideo Monitor. Keep in mind that a new submission time will be recorded in Canvas if you do this and students may be penalized if you have a late grade policy.

After the assignment is due, use the Default Grade option in the Canvas gradebook to award a zero for assignments that were not completed. Find the assignment in the Canvas gradebook and select Default Grade from the drop-down menu. (As an external tool, WeVideo grades will not automatically default to zero after the due date.)

Set the default grade to zero and click Set Default Grade.
