IdentiKey Manager - Choose or Change Unix Shell

Use this tutorial to choose or change your Unix Shell using IdentiKey Manager.

Step 1

Go to the IdentiKey Manager website (https://identikey.colorado.edu/) and select Choose My Unix Shell. 

Step 2

Log in to CU Boulder's Federated Identity Service with your IdentiKey username and password.

Please note: You may be prompted by Duo if you are enrolled in multi-factor authentication.

Step 3

Select your new Unix shell from the dropdown menu. Options include: 

  • /bin/bash
  • /bin/csh
  • /bin/ksh
  • /bin/sh
  • /bin/tcsh
  • /bin/zsh
  • /usr/bin/fish
  • /usr/bin/tmux

Click Save to implement the change.

Step 4

A success message will appear confirming the change. Click Sign Out to exit the Identity Manager.
