About

Buff Portal Advising is a centralized, campus-wide, student engagement system that helps advisors and other student success staff take a more holistic approach to interactions and improves collaboration across campus as a student support community. Buff Portal Advising (BPA) allows support staff to manage their student relationships, including reviewing student information, scheduling roster-based or service-based appointments, sending messages, entering notes, etc., by providing a robust and ever-expanding set of tools that include:

  • Appointment calendaring (for Advising, Coaching, Mentoring and more)
  • Meeting queuing
  • Event check-in / check-out
  • Integrated notes and messaging
  • Outreach reminders
  • Referral tracking to campus partners
  • Midterm course alerts
  • Detailed reports & dashboard

Buff Portal Advising is customizable service and more more tools are available depending on a projects needs.

Who can get it

Buff Portal Advising is a common good service provided at no cost for groups on a case-by-case basis, due to the many license, profile, user and permission concerns. The Buff Portal Advising team encourages teams with a CRM need to work with their managers to make requests.
