Provisioning of Office 365 Accounts

Hello OIT Employees!

As part of the continuing efforts to launch Microsoft Office 365 each of you will be provisioned with an Office 365 license on Tuesday, June 24th. This will allow you to login to the cloud services and start using Office Online (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote), OneDrive, SharePoint, and Lync. The project team welcomes any and all feedback that you would like to provide that will assist us in preparing for campuswide provisioning.

Please note that each of you are being provisioned several weeks ahead of the rest of campus and therefore will be considered beta testers. At this time the project team would ask that you use the Qualtrics survey link below to report problems and provide feedback.

Here’s how you login to Office 365:

Please login at: https://login.microsoftonline.com/

Login ID: username@colorado.edu

Password: Identikey Password

There are a couple of things that you will need to be aware of that comes along with being a beta tester.

1) Conflicting Accounts – If you have registered your identikey@colorado.edu with Office 365 services in the past, you may have a conflicting account. Please report what your experience in the Qualtrics survey. If this turns out to be a problem that you need resolved, please contact OIT-DL-O365@colorado.edu.

2) As part of the provisioning process your User Principle Name (UPN) will be changed from @ad.colorado.edu to @colorado.edu in the Active Directory (AD) on Monday, June 23rd. The UPN will remain as @colorado.edu unless your account changes in IdM before the automatic realignment is implemented on July 1. This can happen if you change your password, your affiliation changes, or your mail attributes change. If your account changes during this timeframe, you will need to contact the IT Service Center to reset your UPN. You can reach the Service Center at 303-735-HELP or oithelp@colorado.edu. The UPN change is not expected to impact the functionality of campus services. This has been tested thoroughly and is a transparent change.

Thank you for your time and feedback. It is much appreciated.
