Your primary IdentiKey account is directly associated with your affilation(s) at the University of Colorado Boulder. You must activate your account in order to set your security questions and password.
The following documentation will show how to activate your primary Identikey account using Identity Manager.
On the Account Activation Process screen, for the User Typer click the right arrow and select your correct affiliation from the pull-down menu: Student, Faculty/Staff, or Sponsored Affiliate. If you have a POI affiliation, you should select the Falculty/Staff option.
Note: Retirees should select "Faculty/Staff" as their affiliation.
Next, depending on what User Type you selected, you would enter the following for your personal information:
Once authenticated, you will be prompted to answer a set of authentication questions. You must answer at least three questions. You do not need to answer all of the questions. You cannot enter the same answer twice. If you ever need to reset your IdentiKey password, you will be prompted to answer these questions as part of the authentication process.
Once you have set a password that meets the requirements, your account will be activated and your CU Login Name will be displayed. Write this down and then click on the Continue button.
If you receive a message that says "The account has already been activated" it means the account activation process was already completed. If you do not know the password that was set, proceed to cuidm.colorado.edu and click on "Forgot your password".
You will be returned to the login page. Now you can log in to Identity Manager to set your display name, outgoing address, etc.
Your CU Login Name and IdentiKey password should now be active. Return to Identity Manager to change passwords or adjust your online identity in the future.
After your IdentiKey has been activated, you should be able to access IdentiKey services such as MyCUinfo, Google, and OIT computer labs.
