Overview

Student Printing and Scanning is a campus-wide initiative that is available for students, faculty, staff and public patrons to print and scan documents from many convenient locations across the CU Boulder campus. Refer to the information below to learn how to use the campus printing and scanning service.

About Printing and Scanning

With over 100 printing stations around CU-Boulder's campus, printing and scanning your documents has never been easier. Students, faculty, staff and public patrons can print or scan in one of three ways:

  • Traditional Printing (Lab): Print from a computer in one of OIT's computing labs
  • Scan to Email: Scan a document for electronic delivery to e-mail at no cost from one of many multi-function devices
  • Mobile Printing: Print from any device that supports your @colorado.edu e-mail address
  • Remote Printing: Print from your personal computer or laptop using the remote printer driver associated with the desired print location

Where Can I Print or Scan?

CU-Boulder has over 30 buildings located around campus that have printing and scanning stations. To find one of these stations, use our interactive Printer Location Map.

Features

  • Black and white printing, color printing, and scanning in OIT computing labs
  • Ability to queue print jobs using mobile printing or remote printing to a secure print release station; queued print jobs are held in the queue for 24 hours and can be released at any SPS printer of the appropriate type

  • Use OIT printers/scanners to save money on your own equipment, ink, and paper.

Cost

The cost associated with printing/copying is as follows:

  • B&W: First side of print $.10/second side of same sheet $0.09
  • Color: $0.50/page

Students receive a set amount each semester in print quota.
