Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)

Overview 

Entra ID (formerly called Azure AD) is Microsoft’s enterprise cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) solution and the backbone of the Office 365 system. It can sync with on-premise Active Directory and provide authentication to other cloud-based systems via OAuth.

Who can get it 

Any employee (including student employees and POI's) can access and use Entra ID after successfully completing required trainings.

All other affiliations (e.g. Student, alumni, retiree, non-affiliated) are not eligible to access Entra ID. 

How to get it

Complete Training Requirements 

To access Entra ID, you must take the following trainings via Skillsoft

  • Information Security for IT Service Providers (_scorm12_cu_u00064_0001): Passing score of 100% within the past year. 
  • FERPA for CU-SIS Access (_scorm12_cu_u00049_0001): Passing score of 80% within the past three years. 
  • Information Security Awareness (_scorm12_cu_u00063): Passing score of 80% within the past two years.

Request Access 

After completing the listed trainings, contact the IT Service Center to request access to Entra ID. The ITSC will verify successful training completion as well as your eligibility then grant access to the tool.
