The following instructions step through the process of reconfiguring Outlook 2011 after being migrated from Exchange 2007 to Office 365's Exchange Online service.
Upon first opening Outlook after migration, your will likely receive an error message about a failure to connect to your inbox.
Eventually you will receive a message asking for permission to change settings. Check the Always use my response for this server box, then click Allow.
Close and re-open Outlook, allowing for sufficient time for the program to completely close.
*Note: If prompted for credentials prior to closing Outlook, click Cancel as you will be prompted again after reopening.
Once Outlook re-opens, you will be prompted to enter your credentials. Enter your CULoginName@colorado.edu and IdentiKey password in the corresponding fields, then click OK.
*Note: If you wish to avoid re-entering credentials in the future, check the Remember my credentials box.
Your mailbox will now be reconfigured.
*Note: If you are having issues reconfiguring with the autodiscover method above, try manually configuring using the steps below.
Open Outlook. From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
Select your account, then click Advanced.
In the Server field, enter outlook.office365.com.
You account should begin to reconnect, indicated by the account connection icon turning green. Close the window when completed.
