Office 365 - Apple Mail Configuration

Overview

The following instructions step through the process of configuring your Office 365 Exchange Online account with Apple Mail for macOS 10.14 or higher, which is required to support Modern Authentication which will be enabled on July 1, 2020. Learn how to find what version of macOS you have.

Step

Click the Apple logo in the upper left of your screen, then open System Preferences.

Step

Select Internet Accounts

Step

Select Exchange.

Step

Enter a display name for your account in the Name field, and your CULoginName@colorado.edu (not first.last@colorado.edu) address in the Email Address field.

Step

Select Sign in to connect to your exchange account.

Step

Enter your IdentiKey password then click Sign In.

Step

Select the apps you wish to access with this account, then click Done.

Step

Your account will now appear in the left hand column on the Internet Accounts page. Close the system preferences window. 

Step

Launch Apple Mail and your exchange inbox will populate.
