Overview

Learn how to install System Center Endpoint Protection for Mac. You must have administrative permissions to install.

Install System Center Endpoint Protection for Mac: 

  1. Log in to the Microsoft software campus EES Agreement with your IdentiKey and password. 
  2. Download System Endpoint Protection for Mac file (SCEP_for_Mac.dmg).

Step 1

Double-click the .dmg file to unpack and access the installer.

Step 2

Double click the Install icon.

Step 3

Click Continue to begin the installation process.

Step 4

On the Introduction page, click Continue.

Step 5

After reading the product information, click Continue.

Step 6

Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu. Click continue.

Step 7

To accept the terms of the software license agreement, click Agree.

Step 8

On the privacy page, click Continue.

Step 9

Ensure the Typical installation mode is selected, and click Continue.

Step 10

Choose Enable detection of potentially unwanted applications from the dropdown menu and click Continue.

Step 11

Click Install.

Step 12

Enter the credentials for the account authorized to install software on the system Click Install Software.

Step 13

On High Sierra, version 10.13.2 and later, the following notification will appear during the installer. Click Open Security Preferences

Step 14

On High Sierra, version 10.13.2, you will also see another version of this notification pop up. Click Open System Preferences (if you have not already).

Step 15

On High Sierra, version 10.13.2, in System Preferences > Security & Privacy, click Allow next to the message that System software from developer “ESET, spol. s r.o.”  was blocked from loading.

Step 16

When the installation has finished, click Close.

Step 17

Restart your system to finish the installation. When you reboot, you should see the SCEP icon in the menu bar after you login. A green icon means that the program started successfully and real-time file system protection is enabled.
