Overview

Learn how to install System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for Windows. You must have administrative permissions to install.

Install System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for Mac: 

  1. Log in to the Microsoft software campus EES Agreement with your IdentiKey and password. 
  2. Download System Endpoint Protection for Mac file (SCEP_for_Mac.dmg).

Step 1

Double-click the .dmg file to unpack and access the installer.

Step 2

Double click the Install icon.

*Note: Users running macOS High Sierra (10.13) will receive a compatibility error message when performing a new install of available version SCEP for Mac, but SCEP appears to function normally once installed. However, existing installations of SCEP will not function correctly after the system is upgraded to High Sierra. To resolve this issue, uninstall SCEP for Mac and reinstall using the installer available from the OIT site.

Step 3

Click Continue to begin the installation process. 

Step 4

On the Introduction page, click Continue.

Step 5

After reading the product information, click Continue

Step 6

Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu. Click continue.

Step 7

To accept the terms of the software license agreement, click Agree.

Step 8

On the privacy page, click Continue.

Step 9

Ensure the Typical installation mode is selected,and click Continue.

Step 10

This error currently appears on macOS High Sierra. Click continue.

Step 11

Choose Enable detection of potentially unwanted applications from the dropdown menu and click Continue.

Step 12

Click Install.

Step 13

Enter the credentials for the account authorized to install software on the system Click Install Software.

Step 14

The installer will proceed through several screens. When the installation has finished, click Close.
