Overview

Learn how to install System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for Windows. You must have administrative permissions to install.

*Note: Users running MacOS Sierra (10.12) may get an error trying to install, however you can bypass this error using steps 3 and 4 below. 

This tutorial applies to the following operating system(s):
  • MAC

Install System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection for Mac: 

  1. Log in to the Microsoft software campus EES Agreement with your IdentiKey and password. 
  2. Download System Endpoint Protection for Mac file (SCEP_for_Mac.dmg).

Step 1

Double-click the .dmg file to unpack and access the installer.

Step 2

Double-click the Install icon.

*Note: Users running MacOS Sierra (10.12) may get an error trying to install, however you can bypass this error using steps 3 and 4 below. If you are not running MacOS Sierra, skip to Step 5.

Step 3

Right-click (or control-click) on the Install icon, choose Show Original.

Step 4

Right-click (or control-click) on the "Installer.pkg" icon, choose Open.

Step 5

Click Continue to begin the installation process. 

Step 6

On the Introduction page, click Continue.

Step 7

After reading the product information, click Continue

Step 8

Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu. Click continue.

Step 9

To accept the terms of the software license agreement, click Agree.

Step 10

On the privacy page, click Continue.

Step 11

Ensure the Typical installation mode is selected,and click Continue.

Step 12

Choose Enable detection of potentially unwanted applications from the dropdown menu and click Continue.

Step 13

Click Install.

Step 14

Enter the credentials for the account authorized to install sofware on the system Click Install Software

Step 15

The installer will proceed through several screens. When the installation has finished, click Close.
