D2L - Setting Up WebDav Using Finder

The following documentation will demonstrate how to use Finder to setup a WebDav connection to a D2L course.

Step 1

From the Go drop-down menu select Connect to Server...

Enter the URL for your course.

*Note: Your course URL will consist of the domain https://learndav.colorado.edu and then the address of the content within your course, found in the Manage Files section of Content (shown in the image below). The URL should look similar to https://learndav.colorado.edu/content/enforced/1000-course_user/.  If you are still having trouble understanding the URL format, please visit the main WebDav page for further explanation.

Click the Connect button.

*Note: If you would like to have Finder remember this location for future access, click the + symbol to have your URL added to Favorite Servers:.

When prompted, enter your CU login name and Identikey password, then click Connect.

Step 5

Your course contents will now be displayed in a Finder window, with your new connection displayed on the left sidebar. You can now manage files from this window.

*Note: You will need to reconnect to the folder if you restart your computer or disconnect manually from the server. Adding URLs to Favorite Servers: is helpful for quick access to your course folders.
