The following documentation will show how to use the Submission Log within the Dropbox tool in D2L. The Submission Log contains a record of all activity for a particular Dropbox folder: when students visited the submission page, when they actually made submissions, and if any files were later deleted or restored. This is especially useful for instructors to investigate situations where a student believes he or she submitted an assignment that can no longer be found.
Log into your Desire2Learn course.
From the Assessments drop-down menu, click Dropbox.
Click on the name of the Dropbox folder you wish to examine.
Click on Submission Log.
Review the Submission Log. If the student viewed the submission page for the Dropbox folder, you will see a Started event showing when this occurred. If they submitted their assignment successfully, you will also see a Submitted event.
If a submission has been deleted, you can restore it by clicking Restore.
