Overview

You must create a module before you can add topics. You can create modules within existing modules to establish a deeper hierarchy.

Step 1

From the course homepage, click Content on the navbar to access the Manage Content page.

Step 2

In the New Module text box, enter the title of your new module. Hit enter when done typing your title.

Step 3

You should see the Module Added Successfully box as shown to the left.

Step 4

If you would like to add a description to your module, click the Add a description... text box.

Step 5

Enter your desired description and when you are done click the Update button.

Step 6

If you want your module to be a sub-module under one of your other modules, click the drop-down menu next to your module title and select Move To

Step 7

Select the Module you would like to be the parent of your new module and click the Move button.

Step 8

Additional Note

D2L by default only loads the first 20 modules, or first 20 topics/files within a module, when viewing course files in the Content area. To see additional content, click the Load More button at the bottom of the content/module area.
