Use this tutorial to easy sync your class roster and upload grades to D2L. Visit OIT's YouTube channel for a video tutorial of this process.

*Note: You can only sync your roster and upload your grades after you have polled the class.

This tutorial applies to the following operating system(s):
  • MAC

Step 1

Open i>clicker and select Open Gradebook.

Step 2

Click Sync Roster.

*Note: If this is your first time downloading the roster for your class, you may need to visit our D2L Easy Sync Integration tutorial.

Step 3

Click Log In.

Step 4

Be very careful when matching near-matches. Only select the student’s name from the roster if you are absolutely certain they are the same student listed in the Registration box. Click Close when prompted.

Step 5

Students whose names are blue have clickers registered to their name. Students whose names are red either haven’t registered their clickers, haven’t used their clickers, or possibly don’t know how to correctly use their clickers.

Step 6

Click Sync Scores to upload the scores to D2L. Make sure you’ve already graded the sessions you are uploading.

Step 7

Ignore prompt to remove “non-students.” This is not necessary if they aren’t using a clicker in class because i>clicker won’t upload a grade for anyone who doesn’t have a clicker associated with their name. Hit Continue.

Step 8

Click Select All. This guarantees that anyone who had recently registered their clickers gets their grades. After ensuring all check boxes are selected, click Next

Step 9

Choose how you want your scores uploaded. The defaults (Each session is a separate entry; Total points) work well. However, if you prefer to aggregate your sessions into a single score, or to separate performance and participation points, do so here. Then click Upload.

Step 10

Your scores will upload. This may take a while, especially if you have a large class. When it's finished, click Close.
