Cisco VPN Troubleshooting on Windows - Uninstall and then Reinstall the VPN Client

This is the fifth step in troubleshooting Cisco VPN connection problems on Windows. Follow the steps found in the Troubleshooting Guide in order.

Step 1

Click the Start menu. Choose the Control Panel.

Step 2

Open the Programs and Features.

Step 3

In the Add/remove Programs window, scroll down to the VPN Client. Click Uninstall button.

Step 4

Click Yes to completely remove Cisco Systems VPN Client from the machine.

Step 5

Click Yes to delete existing profiles.

Step 6

Click Yes to delete existing Cisco Certificates.

Step 7

Click Yes to restart the system.

Step 8

Reinstall the Cisco VPN client.
