TeX and LaTeX - Thesis Class

Last Updated: 08/09/2017

The University of Colorado specifies just how Master's theses and Doctoral dissertations should be organized and formatted. The file "thesis.cls" (version 1.13, October 2015) contains the definitions needed to make the LaTeX2e class format your thesis to conform to these specifications.

Sample of usage

A quick way to use thesis class is to edit existing LaTeX source files. Here are sample files showing thesis class organization and macros, plus the documentation for thesis.cls.

The file "thesis.cls" now supports the hyperref package as an option; hyperref produces hyperlinks within the PDF document created by the LaTeX compiler. Please note, the Graduate School doesn't allow external hyperlinking (e.g., to web pages). Only internal hyperlinking is allowed, so that a dissertation is self contained.
