ESET Endpoint Antivirus has replaced Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection for Faculty Staff and Students using university-owned Mac computers running an Apple-supported version of macOS (currently, macOS versions 10.12 Sierra, 10.13 High Sierra, and 10.14 Mojave).
*Please Note: OIT has tested the current version of ESET Endpoint Antivirus and found that it may cause compatibility issues with the Privacy Preferences system which is a new feature in macOS 10.14 Mojave. We still recommend installing the software on Mojave for antivirus and antispyware protection.
Microsoft announced in November 2018 that it was discontinuing support for System Center Endpoint protection for Mac on December 31, 2018. As a result, OIT is transitioning to ESET Endpoint Antivirus as the recommended antivirus software for university-owned Mac computers.
ESET Endpoint Antivirus provides antivirus and antispyware protection for CU Boulder for university-owned Mac systems running a supported version of macOS through the Microsoft software campus EES agreement.
