Auxiliary A/V Service

Overview

The Auxiliary A/V Service provides consultation, design, integration, installation, maintenance and support of A/V systems in non-centrally scheduled classrooms, conference rooms, and public spaces, on a fee-for-service basis, as well as A/V equipment rental and A/V support on a limited basis.

Features

  • The A/V Consultation, Design, Integration and Installation process consists of:
    • Consultation meeting to discuss options for design, integration, and installation of A/V equipment
    • Rough estimate and a quote for parts and labor
    • Installation coordinated with Facility Management if needed
    • Space hand-off after installation, delivery of drawings, manuals, parts lists, etc. 
    • New equipment training
  • Digital projector and projection screen rentals
  • A/V event support is available on a limited basis

Cost 

Costs for the Auxiliary A/V Service are based on the actual price of the equipment purchased, plus GAIR, and an hourly rate for design, Project Coordination, integration, and training.

A/V Equipment rental

Departments can request a data projector and or projector screen by providing a speed type. Equipment can be delivered to locations on the CU Boulder campus, or picked up by the customer at Folsom Stadium room 142, Gate 6 (during regular business hours). Submit an AV Equipment Rental Request to order equipment. 

*Note: Requests for deliveries must be received 24 hours in advance of the desired delivery time, and all deliveries are performed during regular university business hours.

Starting with the fall 2017 semester, OIT Learning Spaces Technology will no longer deliver audio visual equipment for free to non-centrally scheduled spaces on the CU Boulder campus.   

Any other Audio Visual Equipment for not OIT supported spaces can be rented through outside companies like: Daylight Productions & Rentals, Alpine Audio Visual.

Who can get it

This service is available to Faculty, Staff and affiliates on the CU Boulder campus.

To request an initial A/V consult for design/integration/installation, or auxiliary support, call 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from any campus phone) or email help@colorado.edu. To request rental equipment, submit the AV Equipment Rental Request form

How to get support

Upon completion of an installation, a training session will be provided to the users of the space. Self-support documentation for standard classroom technology in auxiliary spaces will be provided per request and at an additional charge to the customer upon completion of an installation.
