Mobile Devices - Known Issues

Listed below are known issues related to Mobile Devices and their use with campus services, as well as possible workarounds and/or progress toward resolution of the issues. If the suggested workarounds do not help you, or if you are having any issue at all, contact the IT Service Center at or call 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from a campus phone).

Issues affecting CULink & Exchange

Android OS

Calendar Appointment Shift

  • Impact: If using an android phone and synching calendar events, recurring events can randomly “shift their time.” This will be reflected on both the mobile device and your Exchange or CULink calendar.
  • Workaround: Note if the event time in the body of the calendar invitation is in conflict with scheduled event, it should be updated manually by correcting the scheduling of the event. Commonly the shift has been 6 hours but this could change to 7 hours when the daylight savings time switches to standard.
  • Resolution: The vendor has not formally acknowledged the issue.

Issues affecting only Exchange

iPhone OS (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad)

Calendar Synchronization

  • Impact: In some cases, the iPhone calendar fails to show all accepted meetings.
  • Workaround: The workaround is to delete your Exchange account from your iPhone and then set up the account again on the phone. This will cause the phone to re-sync with the calendar and resolve the issue.
    • To delete your account:
      • Tap Settings
      • Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
      • Tap on your Exchange account
      • Tap Delete Account
    • After successfully deleting your account, set up your account again.
