If you wish to move mail from an account other than your @colorado Gmail account, follow the instructions below.
Outlook (Windows)
- Configure both your Gmail account and the account you wish to migrate mail from.
- Right click on the desired folder and select Copy Folder.
- Select the desired location and click OK.
- Now the folder is in your Gmail account.
- Now that your mail has been moved you can remove your previous email account from Outlook.
- Select the File menu. Select the Account Settings... option.
- Select your previous email account from the list and click the Remove button. Click the Close button to finish.
Outlook (Mac)
- Configure both your Gmail account and the account you wish to migrate mail from.
- Click the Inbox of the account you would like to copy mail from.
- Select all mail by either clicking on Select All from the Edit drop-down menu, or by using the shortcut key Command and A.
- Drag all the items into your Gmail Inbox.
- The transfer will take some time based on the amount of mail that is being moved.
- Remove all items out of the old email account by deleting
Apple Mail
- Configure both your Gmail account and the account you wish to migrate mail from.
- Click on the account that you wish to copy the mail from.
- Select all mail by either clicking on Select All from the Edit drop-down menu, or by using the shortcut key Command and A.
- Right-click the selected mail, and click on the mailbox you would like the mail to be relocated to, from the Copy To menu.
- The transfer will take some time based on the amount of mail that is being moved.
Thunderbird
- Configure both your Gmail account and the account you wish to migrate mail from.
- Drag desired folders from your previous email account to your Gmail account and drop them on the word Inbox.
- Your folders will be moved.
