Television Services

OIT maintains a cable television distribution network providing educational, entertainment and sports content to students, staff and faculty on the CU Boulder campus. Distribution is provided to residence hall rooms and other public (i.e. UMC, Rec Center) and private viewing (i.e. meeting/conference rooms, offices) locations as requested.


  • Over 70 channels of standard and high-definition digital programming
  • Widely distributed through residence halls as well as many publicly accessed locations
  • University of Colorado locally-originated programming
  • Programming "in-the-clear" with no need for set-top-box


Cable television service is provided at a cost of $2.70 per month. In addition there is a cost for installation that will vary depending on location.

Who can get it

This service is available to faculty, staff, and students.

How to get it

  • Residence Hall and University Apartments do not need to request cable service, it is automatically available.
  • Service to any other location can be requested by contacting the IT Service Center.
