Mark Gammon is a sociologist, researcher, and educator who works at the intersection of people and technology. Mark holds a B.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology and an M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Between stints at CU Boulder as an Academic Technology Consultant and Researcher, Mark has worked as a Social Media Manager in the technology sector and recently as a Teaching and Learning Technology Strategist at the University of British Columbia. His interests and research areas include identity in technologically mediated contexts, social networks, digital media literacy, and the affordances of technology for teaching and learning. Mark follows emerging technologies and always has an app or tool to recommend. However, despite these shiny new possibilities, he is most interested in how people interact with technology and integrate it into their lives.
Between occasional tweeting and instagramming, Mark can be found traveling, snapping pictures, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying a cup of Earl Grey.
