Microsoft releases Update to Address Internet Explorer Vulnerabilities - September 21, 2012

Microsoft has released an update to address previously reported vulnerabilities in several versions of Internet Explorer. Without applying the update, systems remain vulnerable to remote code execution when tricked into browsing to a malicious website. There are reports that the vulnerability is being used to infect machines with Trojan-Horse malware.

The IT Security Office advises applying the update as soon as possible.

Affected Systems:

Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 and 9 on Windows
Note:  Internet Explorer 10 is not affected
